D-fend Water Traps

Designed to protect medical equipment from moisture and contamination

Designed to protect against moisture, humidity, and contaminants in respiratory monitoring equipment to help ensure accurate measurement.

For use with respiratory modules in both the anesthesia and critical care environments, D-fend™ Water Traps ensure measurement accuracy by protecting respiratory monitoring equipment from humidity, secretions, and viral and bacterial contamination. Tested by third party independent labs for viral filtration efficiency (VFE), D-fend Water Traps protect your machine's gas analysis system to enable seamless, effective operation.

D-fend Water Traps are simple to handle and feature a water container that can easily be emptied whenever more than half full. Water Traps for critical care environments (D-fend Pro+ M1200227) should be changed with every patient or after 24 hours of use. Water Traps for anesthesia environments (D-fend Pro M1182629) should be changed after a maximum two months of use or if host devices indicate to replace it (whichever comes first).

D-fend™ Water Traps

Verified Quality

D-fend™ Water Traps are independently evaluated for VFE against one of the smallest viruses available for testing (Phi X 174), demonstrating they separate at least 99.98% of particles with a size as small as 0.15 μm.

Reliable Measurements

D-fend™ Water Traps help your GE Healthcare respiratory modules reliably deliver advanced clinical measurement technology to reliably deliver a continuous flow of quality information in challenging conditions.

User Friendly

D-fend™ Water Traps feature a lightweight and compact design and are easy to connect/disconnect. Plus, Water Traps can be emptied when half full instead of having to replace it with a new one.
Water traps protect the gas analysis system from moisture and contaminants to enable seamless operations of CARESCAPE™ respiratory modules. There are application-specific water traps for anesthesia and critical care environments that are specified for use with the following modules:
