Giraffe OmniBed Carestation

The Giraffe OmniBed Carestation manages sounds through adjustable alarm settings, hands free alarm silence, a low noise fan and a hood cover, which helps to dampen external noise.

From away screens that provide parents with digestible information about their baby’s care to side panels that can be completely removed to aid in providing Kangaroo Care, the Giraffe OmniBed Carestation invites family members to nurture, guide and be present for their baby’s journey.

With a 10.4” color and touchscreen display, connectivity capabilities, hands-free alarm silencing and ergonomic design (including an elevating base, removable door panels and pass through drawer), the Giraffe OmniBed Carestation was designed to fully support caregivers and better facilitate optimal neurodevelopmental care for all babies.

Large color display (10.4”) streamlines caregiver’s workflow and provides guidance for setting initial temperatures for individual patients.

Bi-Directional Airflow through double walls provides a stable thermal environment, as one of the recommendations in the  thermoregulation fact sheet. Servo-controlled Humidity System designed with advanced technology provides sterilized stream humidification to make for easy cleaning and protection against infection. Pre-heat mode at 25% for admission preparation. Air Boost helps protect the infant from heat loss.

Rapid patient access through the multiple controls for the Giraffe OmniBed Carestation canopy. The one touch control for the most emergent situations allows clinicians to respond quickly to patient needs. Foot pedals offer additional control of canopy.

Not only is the OmniBed mattress equipped with patented Baby Susan* mattress technology for full 360º rotation, it’s also pressure diffusing and bi-directional. This brings the baby closer to caregivers, which encourages swaddling and Kangaroo Care, and helps optimize clinical procedures.

Door panels can be removed entirely for easier access for caretakers or cleaning. Mattress is equipped with pressure-diffusing properties and Baby Susan technology, allowing for full 360° rotation.

Elevating base designed to accommodate standing caregivers and seated family. Pass-through drawer allows full seated access. Whether in closed or open bed mode, parental bonding is effortless with the robust canopy lift, dual access door panels and portholes. Additionally, side door panels can be removed completely for greater access.

The Giraffe Shuttle is a transportable power source that can be attached to the Giraffe OmniBed, Incubator and Warmer.  The Shuttle connects to the bed and provides electrical power to the bed and other auxiliary equipment, as well as provisions for medical gas management, required for patient care during intra-hospital transport, providing continuous patient management without interrupting critical points of treatment like IV medications and monitoring.
