What strikes me about Allia Moveo when it comes to mobility and flexibility is the tremendous amount of flexibility that it provides me to basically perform procedures on many different types of patients as far as their size is concerned, the type of procedure I am doing, where the equipment is going to be in the room.
With Allia Moveo, GE HealthCare has succeeded in creating a large C-arm with a wide-diameter gantry that is extremely mobile, eliminating all the ergonomic constraints previously associated with the heavy cart carrying the C-arm. This allows us to perform all types of procedures with all possible access routes.
With Allia Moveo, you can have your own dedicated workflow ready for use, perfectly adapted to your team. This versatility is what makes this system so special, so unique.
It’s very important to have a machine that will work around us instead of us having to work around the machine. Allia is a movable machine, it can be moved out of the way, brought in at short notice, it can be positioned at many different iterations. And so that gives me a lot of flexibility to use it as a true hybrid OR.
Allia Moveo enhances clinical decision making in several ways; the most obvious way is that it truly, for the first time I believe, makes cone-beam CT accessible to the general user. This is a piece of equipment that I feel I can train my residents in just a couple cases, and they can do these cases independently.
The Allia Moveo hybrid room is perfect, because it’s flexible, you have access to all the advanced imaging applications very easily, you can control the system wherever you are around the patient, and CBCT has now become an easy-to-use procedure, so it has really changed my practice.
